ALL STAR FORMAT

The team within each of the all star groups with the best regular season record will provide the coach.  Additional players are based upon the standings within the group.

'06-'07 All Stars

The 2006-07 TARSA All Star games will be played on Saturday, February 24th, and the host club this season will be Town-n-Country’s Shimberg Park (see TARSA website for directions). TARSA All Star games are a chance for each team’s selected All Star players to have an opportunity to play soccer with and against the other All Star players in TARSA. The cost per player to participate is $10 which pays for the referee fees and a All Star t-shirt with their name on the back. Within each All Star team, the coach of the team with the best record will be given first opportunity to be the head coach of that particular All Star team.

All Star game start times are as follows: 9:00 am for U14 Girls and U10 Girls; 11:00 am for U14 Coed and U12 Girls; 1:00 pm for U12 Coed, U16 Girls, and U19 Girls; and 3:00 pm for U16 Coed. The format will be three 30-minute “mini” games or halves with a 10-minute break between games for all age groups except for the U16 Girls and U19 Girls age groups. For these two age groups, the format will be one regular game. Water breaks will be mandatory for all age groups.

The deadline for turning in All Star player names, t-shirt sizes, and telephone numbers is Monday, February 12th. Coaches, it is up to you to determine how you select your All Star representatives. Regardless of how you do handle this, you may want to determine your selections and then get with the parents of those players to find out if they will be able to actually participate on February 24th. The reason I suggest this is that if you turn-in the names without checking availability, you may find out afterwards that a player is not available and at that point, to ensure representation of your team on the All Star team, you would then need to select an alternate. However, it would most likely be too late to change the  artwork for the t-shirt to include the new All Star representative's name or
have the t-shirt size changed.

The All Star games will be Saturday, February 24th, at Shimberg Park in Town-n-Country.
